Marc Escalona Named Vice President, Captive Practice

Cobbs Allen is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Marc Escalona to Vice President, Captive Practice. Escalona has worked for the past two years with the Cobbs Allen alternative insurance division to develop the captive practice. Through his efforts, he has grown the practice and established himself as an experienced leader in the space. President and COO Bruce Denson, Jr. said, “We are exciting about growing our expertise and presence in risk financing. Marc has demonstrated the depth of understanding and a commitment to innovative thinking that we strive for at Cobbs Allen.  We're excited about this promotion and the value we can bring to our clients.”

In his new position, Escalona is responsible for assisting companies to more effectively manage their corporate risks and control their insurance costs through a captive. He conducts feasibility analyses and coordinates the captive process to help clients achieve the highest possible degree of long-term success.

Marc said about the growing captive market, "The insurance industry is very dynamic and it is important to stay out front for our clients and our prospects. While it’s a small percentage of the insurance world, the utilization of captive products represents one of the fastest growing sectors in a $1 trillion industry. Whether it is an 831B, single-parent or group captive, it is important for our customers and our prospects to know that we bring the expertise to put together a captive program that fits their needs."

Before joining Cobbs Allen, Marc worked as a consultant helping large hospital systems with their risk management, supply chain management, and clinical/resource utilization. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science and has received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama. Marc holds the designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
