In the competitive environment that is today’s insurance industry, it is critical to have differentiating factors that give your firm an advantage over the competition. At Cobbs Allen, we pride ourselves in offering exceptional, OutFront service to our clients. One value added service provided by Cobbs Allen that is relatively uncommon in our field is the benefit of having an Industrial Hygienist, Chris Haynes, on our team.

Chris’s background includes an ABET accredited degree with a double major in General Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene from the University of North Alabama. He has extensive experience in implementing and managing tasks to achieve OSHA/ACGIH compliance with industrial hygiene and safety programs, as well as developing strategies and implementation of OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program. While serving as a Radiation Safety Officer, Chris managed site permits and performed trainings associated with X-ray cabinets and radioactive materials.

As of September 16, 2015, Chris received the ASP (Associate Safety Professional) certification awarded by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Additionally, he hopes to receive his CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification within the coming months. With these accolades, Chris will be among the nation’s leaders in high quality safety, health, and environmental practitioners.

Chris can help identify exposures to different chemical, physical, and biological hazards that can lead to worker injury and illness that ultimately have a negative impact on a corporation’s bottom line. He can also identify different workplace exposures ranging from acids and solvents, noise and radiation, repetitive human movement, mold and viruses, and many more.

With industrial hygiene experience, Chris can work with your company to integrate safety and health into your overall business strategy while reducing the risk of potential occupational disease exposure. He can help clients measure their risk exposure and provide solutions on how to reduce the potential of loss they face as a company. The end goal for Chris and his industrial hygienic consulting work is to improve and help sustain a safer and healthier workplace environment for each of the Cobbs Allen clients he works with.
